Five Super Effective Ways to Keep Anxiety and Stress at Bay


Everyday life comes with its own challenges. Whether you’re a student, a working person, or a stay-at-home parent, avoiding stress and anxiety is inevitable. Everything brings along stress and anxiety with itself, leaving you exhausted and drained. 

However, you need not worry about it. Thankfully, I’ve found some effective ways to keep anxiety and stress at bay. Let me share them with you so that you can incorporate them into your day-to-day life. 

Mindfulness-Based Meditation 

First and foremost, you need to start meditating today. Meditation is a renowned healing method that promotes your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Mindfulness-based meditation has shown exceptional results in this regard. 

It helps you stay in the moment, making you forget about the events that happened in the past or those that are yet to happen in the future. When you stop overthinking them, half of your anxiety and stress leave right there and then. 

A Warm Cup of Herbal Tea 

Are you a tea or coffee lover? Is it something that you cannot survive without? Well, they both have caffeine in them. Caffeine is a stimulant and it goes without saying that it negatively contributes to your stress levels. 

It is mainly why many people feel jittery after having coffee. What you need to do is have a cup of herbal tea instead. For immediate results, I suggest you add some cannabis to it. Journal Writing

While you may not know it, the best way to keep stress and anxiety is by laughing. Watch your favorite comic movie or read a funny book. It will instantly take the pressure off your chest, leaving you stress-free and relaxed. 

If not, you can simply do what you enjoy doing. If you like watching seasons, do it. In case you enjoy playing a certain game, do it. The idea is to distract your mind. It’s as simple as that. 

A Healthy Diet and Sleep Cycle 

Lastly, please don’t forget about your diet and sleep cycle. Whether it’s the stress that makes your appetite go away or the anxiety that doesn’t let you sleep at night. Remember that lack of sleep and hunger only make matters worse. 

Thus, you must eat healthy at all costs. For that, you can add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Similarly, please ensure to sleep for 7-8 hours a day. No matter what happens, don’t compromise your sleep.
