The relation of parents for a person is significant and precious. Parents play the most crucial part in a person’s life. Our mother and father have sacrificed many things for our future and happiness. What parents do for their children cannot be done by anyone else. Their love and care for their kids are selfless. Islam has consistently highlighted the rights of Parents. Our religion has taught us how much love, care and respect our parents deserve from us. Their rights have been mentioned several times to us. We are commanded by ALLAH (SWT) to give them all the respect, love, and affection. The Holy Quran mentioned that we should never hurt our parents physically or mentally.

BEING GENTLE WITH PARENTS:
Islam has taught us to be gentle and soft with our Parents. Their respect and dignity should always be maintained. We should always be loving towards our parents. Being obedient towards parents is one of the main aspects of our religion. Children should always obey their parents; the only thing which should not be accepted is only parents force children to commit any kind of sin. Otherwise, obedience and goodness should always be shown towards Parents.
IMPORTANCE OF MOTHER:
The importance of the mother has been mentioned several times in Quran and Hadiths as well. A mother carries a child in her womb for nine long months, and the pain she endures while giving birth to a baby can’t be just expressed in words; not only this, she spends her whole life making her kids better human beings. The importance of mother can also be understood that when a man came to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and asked to whom we should show more kindness, the Prophet (SAW) replied to him, “Your mother. ” The Prophet (SAW) was asked the same question three times, and all three times his reply was “your mother “and when asked the fourth time, the reply of Hazrat Muhamad (SAW) was “your father.”
STATUS OF PARENTS:
The status of Parents is so high according to our religion Islam. The level of their respect is just one step below the belief in ALLAH. Allah says:
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents
In the above Ayat, two things are mentioned together: one is to worship one and only Allah, and the other is to fulfill our parents’ duties, which is clear enough to show the high status of parents in Islam.

RESPECT OF PARENTS
Respecting parents is also a way of showing gratitude and love towards them. Allah and his last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), have consistently emphasized giving great respect to parents. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) respected parents just after offering prayers on time. This is the level of respect religion Islam has given to parents. When the Holy Prophet was once asked which deed is most liked by ALLAH. The Prophet (SAW) replied: “prayers offered on time, “he was then asked: what after that? The Holy Prophet (SAW) replied: “kindness towards parents.”
Conclusion:
In a nutshell, Islam has always drawn attention towards the importance of Islam. Not only the role of the mother is important but also the father. The mother who carries the child in her body for nine months is as important as the father who works day and night selflessly without thinking of himself just for providing good food and shelter to his children and for their betterment and bright future. Muslims are obliged to respect and be kind to their parents as it’s an integral part of our religion.
