Another day and another news about a court case involving Former President Donald Trump. Yesterday the headlines were about the handling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Today the judge has made a ruling in his election case in Georgia.

Judge Scott McAfee in Fulton County made a ruling that District Attorney Fani Willis can stay on the case only if Nathan Wade the special prosecutor is removed. To give you some context Donald Trump and his lawyers made an allegation that Wade and Willis were in a relationship.

Considering that Fani Willis had hired Nathan Wade to be on the prosecution team and after the comments she made at an Atlanta Church, Donald Trump and other defendants argued that either Willis’s prosecution team be disqualified or the charges against them should be dismissed.

While the judge ruled that DA Fani Willis’s remarks were “legally improper” there wasn’t enough ground for dismissal or disqualification but he did warn Mrs. Willis with a possible gag order in the future. So, it seems that for now, Mrs. Willis will continue prosecuting the case against Donald Trump and his codefendants. (Meyer, 2024)

Donald Trump and his eighteen co-accused face charges of interference with the 2020 election, where they were indicted in the state of Georgia for allegedly trying to overturn the election in which Mr. Trump was defeated.
