The climb to Lobuche East Peak begins soon after the landing of the flight at Lukla. You’ll pass many remote villages and walk through forested trails before the trail crawls up to Kongma La Pass. 

The trek gets quickly difficult from the base camp, following snowy ridges and rugged terrains. In order to make a successful ascent to the summit, you’ll have to cross the Lobuche glacier and climb over the sharp hills. After arriving at the summit, you’ll get a spectacular view of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. 

Island Peak 

Island Peak is one of the most incredible and most popular mountain hikes with trekkers. It’s proclaimed to be the perfect practice ground for Everest expeditions. Famous as Imja Tse among locals, the peak requires trekkers to get over a few technical sections to reach the summit. 

The trip starts off easy, with a scenic mountain flight to Tenzing Hillary Airport. From there,  we travel through the remote villages of Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. 

After Dingboche, you’ll leave the main Everest base camp trail and take the Island Peak trek route. 

The climb onward isn’t plain sailing like the previous. Trekkers have to scramble up the extended mountain ridge and an open gully. There are steep ice slopes, glaciers, and crevasses that you have to cross to the acme.
