Writing is expressing your thoughts in a way that can be understood. It may take some time to settle into this skill, but those who do will find a lot of joy in it. With that in mind, this article shares the story of Amanda Aldridge, who was able to accomplish her dreams as a child and later realized that perhaps she had been too ready to let them go placidly.

What was Amanda like as a child?

Amanda Aldridge was born and raised in a small town in Oregon. She always had a passion for making others happy and spending time with them, which is why she enjoyed volunteering for the local orphanage. When she turned 18, Amanda finally decided to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. After years of hard work and dedication, she opened her boutique in Oregon City. Even though her store has since closed, Amanda’s spirit lives on through her popular blog, where she shares fashion tips and advice for women everywhere.

Amanda’s early dreams

Most people spend their lives dreaming of something they hope to one day achieve, but Amanda Aldridge had a different dream. She always imagined herself living the happily ever after she saw in her dreams. When she was just a child, those dreams became a reality, and she wouldn’t let go. Finally, at the ripe age of 26, Amanda’s dreams came true when she married her childhood sweetheart. They have since welcomed their first child into the world, and Amanda is still overwhelmed with happiness from what seemed like a simple childhood dream.
Not all dreams are easy to come by, but Amanda’s were. When she was younger, her parents often told stories of their childhood dreams that turned into reality. This made an impression on Amanda, and she began to believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Her belief in the power of dreaming has helped her reach her ultimate goal, and she can share her story with others in hopes that they will also find their dreams achievable.

The blog post begins with the aftermath of heartache happening at a terrible time in her life.

Amanda Aldridge was planning to spend her entire life living the dream she had since childhood- marrying her partner of 10 years and starting a family. But when that dream came crashing down, Amanda found herself at a terrible time. Fresh out of college and fresh off finding out her long-term partner was cheating on her, Amanda was devastated. She withdrew from society and shut herself off from the people she loved most. After several months, she realized how much she needed support and began reaching out to friends and family. Slowly but surely, Amanda started to piece together what had happened and reconciled with those she loved. In the aftermath of this heartache happening at a terrible time in her life, Amanda has learned two things: 1) it’s important to be true to yourself, and 2) no matter how bad things seem, there is always hope for the future.

Amanda reflects on how she had to accept her reality and what she lost.

I never thought in a million years that I would be able to achieve what I wanted, but that’s exactly what happened. I met my husband at the age of 25, and we got married two years later. Our marriage was perfect, our house was perfect, and we had everything we ever wanted. However, within a few months of getting married, I realized this wasn’t really what I wanted.

I had always been a worrier and felt like something would go wrong. So when everything seemed to be going so smoothly in my life, it made me doubt myself. My husband didn’t share my doubts – he was completely happy with our life – but they were there anyway.

I started to question things – like whether or not our house was really ours or if my husband truly loved me. Everything felt too perfect, and when you’re living in a reality where everything is supposed to be perfect, it’s hard to let anything go, even if it’s something as small as questioning your judgment.

After struggling with these doubts, I finally accepted that things might not be perfect and that this wasn’t really what I wanted for my life. We sold our house and moved into a smaller one with less space – but it was more fun! And after all this time, I’m still happily married to the man of my dreams (something that wouldn’t have been possible if I had kept living in my dream world!).
