What better time than summer vacation to assemble the neighborhood kids for a cooking lesson disguised as a pizza party? With pizza in pizza boxes, children like getting their hands dirty. Pizza is generally what people love to have, even those who don’t like it. Even children who profess they don’t enjoy a certain dish (or feel they don’t like a particular meal) may learn that if they prepare it themselves, it tastes excellent.
Pizzas in catchy pizza packaging are a great summer hobby for youngsters. To accommodate a large number of children, you simply need a large enough space (like a patio). Don’t let the numbers get too large, or you won’t be able to include all of the youngsters who need it. Having an older sibling or a second mother help may be advantageous. Throwing a Pizza Party for Kids
For the Pizza Party, you will need a variety of equipment and food products. It’s good to have small individual pizza pans so that each child may prepare his or her own pizza in custom pizza boxes. If all you have are large pizza pans or baking pans, make sure each child gets a hand in the process and maybe their own slice of pizza.

To make pizza, you’ll need mixing bowls, mixing spoons, measuring cups and spoons, pizza stones and peels, a wheel (cutter), a spatula, and potholders.
There are four main ingredients in this recipe: flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. The dough is what you may buy ready-made, or you can make it yourself. Place the bowl on a low-level table that the children can reach. Form a circle with the children around the table. Allow the kids to take turns adding the items to the bowl. Here are some steps you can take to get started:
Mix warm water with yeast and sugar.
Let the yeast be proof for 5 minutes. When bubbles form, you know the yeast is alive; dead yeast will not generate the necessary rising activity for yeast dough. Drizzle with olive oil at this point.

Addition of salt and flour
Allow the children to take turns adding the flour, about a cup at a time, and mixing with a wooden spoon. Set a large pastry board on the table over a wet cloth after a soft dough has formed (about 4-5 cups of flour). On the board, sprinkle the remaining flour and then top it off with the dough.
Work on the dough
There is a photograph on this page showing how to knead (push at the top, fold from the top; repeat the pushing and folding procedure until a cylinder forms). If more flour is needed, sprinkle it on. Only enough flour is required to prevent the dough from sticking together. Continue kneading and folding the cylinder onto the board. Knead for 10 minutes, or until the dough is soft, springy, and elastic.
Place the kneaded dough in a large, lightly oiled mixing basin, cover with a clean dishtowel or plastic wrap, and set aside in a warm location to rise.
While the dough rises, let the kids prepare the additional ingredients. To cut the vegetables or olives for the youngsters, use toy knives or table knives. You will also get three medium pizzas and around 12 personal-size pizzas. Each piece of dough may be shaped into a mushroom. Show the kids how to use their hands to flatten the dough. Teach them how to stretch it from the center to the edges using their thumbs and forefingers as well.
When the dough is almost big enough, transfer it to the pan. The pizzas will not come off the pans if they are not sprayed or oiled prior. If any of the portions get too thin or rip, just patch them up with the leftover dough. The beauty of pizza is that mended sections are seldom visible. It’s because the toppings hide them. It may be served in small pizza boxes.
After stretching the dough to suit the pan, brush it liberally with olive oil before sprinkling over the smashed tomatoes. Keep it light, or the crust may get mushy.
Cooling Period
Allow the pizzas to cool and firm up for 5 minutes before cutting and serving. If you’ve never done anything like this before, you may want to start by purchasing the dough and cheese already shredded. Because very young children have a limited attention span, the fewer chores they have to do, the more fun they will have, and the more likely they will want to do this again.
