Distractify claims that David, who was born on December 18, 1966, seven years after Jeffrey, was given his name by his older brother.
According to reports, their relationship faltered a little since Jeffrey felt David received more attention as an infant and hated his younger brother for it.
They were also quite different people psychologically. In a Larry King Live interview with their father in 2004, Lionel claimed that David was more outgoing while Jeffrey was more introverted.

David Dahmer: Where Is He Now?
Jeffrey had already been detained for his crimes by the time David earned his degree from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio in 1991.
At the age of 18, David made the decision to “break all links” with his brother and stopped attending any of his court appearances or trials.
In the 2004 Larry King Live interview with his father, Lionel said that David even went so far as to officially alter his name in order to distance himself from his notorious serial murderer brother.
Additionally, David has been entirely silent, refusing to participate in any interviews, TV appearances, or even remarks regarding his childhood experiences with Jeffrey.
David is apparently still alive at the age of 55, but his new identity is unknown to the general world. His father and stepmother claim that he has a successful career, a wife, and two kids.
There haven’t been any new developments on David Dahmer since 2004. Denied a normal life, he made the decision to leave the spotlight and begin over.
In a sense, David became a victim of Jeffrey Dahmer’s crimes as well because of the public spectacle of his murders.
