POE 3.22 Cast

Today I will be reviewing Magnum Opus build I made for POE 3.22 league. This build will output a whopping 392 million DPS when all its flasks are on and all buffs handle well over 200 million on average. So we say it’s capped at about 392 million.

Also, it has 90% resistance to all elements and has about 80% physical damage reduction, 5.3k energy shield. It has almost maximum block, with 64% block and 75% spell block. So this build is very bulky and has extremely high DPS. By the way, we can buy POE Currency to make it stronger! It’s up to you.

This build is this Cast on Crit Creeping Frost and works very similar to how Cast on Critical Ice Spear does, scaling the base damage. We get shotgun abilities by multiplying the number of projectiles fired by the skill at once.

Skill Tree

First, let’s start with our skill tree. Our tree is very simple, a generic Cast On Critical Ice Spear tree. In addition to this similarity, now we can also access tattoos correctly.

We can add three Max Cold Resistances and an extra Projectile and Max Power Charge in the lower right corner of the tree. And then we can also use the other three maximum Cold Resistances.

Now we find that we have Unnatural Instinct in the jewel sockets above the part I talked about earlier. This allowed us to work out some of Aura Effect and Purity of Ice and Melding of the Flesh issues.

Then we will start running Blanketed Snow, Prismatic Heart and Widespread Destruction. Here are three Large Cluster Jewels with Lightning Resistance to help us increase Lightning Resistance. Because it is easy to get Fire and Cold Resistance with this build, but it will be a little difficult to get Lightning Resistance. So we have to put most of POE Currency into our jewelry.

We then use some Small Cluster Jewel to increase our Reservation Efficiency from 6% to 35% and increase our Chaos Resistance. Because we are actually a Low Life build, not a Chaos Inoculation build. This way we can run Pain Attunement and Righteous Fire.

Next, we also need to run a critical medium with basic Pain and Pressure Point so that we can limit critical hit chances. Then we have Eye to Eye Repeater and Shrieking Bolts medium to add extra projectile damage.

Finally, we need to run a Militant Faith. Just like you do with any Cast On Critical power stack build, you get a Militant Faith with Inner Conviction from Dominus passive part.

Skill Gems

If we were to continue our skills, we would have our Frostbite, Vortex and Hextouch set up in our boots with Bonechill Support. Then among our weapons we have Sniper’s Mark and Molten Shell. Then among other weapons we have Righteous Fire, Frostblink and Purity of Ice.

Since we don’t have a lot of room for skill gems, we’re actually working on getting all of them into our gear. So we have a security device in our Shield that’s not connected to Enlighten Support, and it’s two levels higher. I paid 4 Divine Orbs for this to allow us to reach this threshold.

Next, we need to run our Arrogance Support setup. We have a Vitality, Herald device, and Tempest Shield, so the least amount of aura we keep is in our Arrogance Support setup for our 6-Linked Body Armor.

We also have Divergent Creeping Frost, which casts an energy charge on Awakened Cast On Critical Strike Support, which is especially important for proc rate.

Then we have Divergent Cyclone for extra movement speed, which wakes up more projectiles for Shotgun effect.

We also need to consider Inspiration Support, which reduces the mana cost to zero. This way we still get Inspiration Charges since Cyclone will never cost less than one. This will allow us to always continue casting Divergent Creeping Frost without any mana issues at the helm.

So we put Zealotry, Determination and Hatred here. Since they are the highest mana we keep, they have 50% of the aura effect.

Gear Settings

Like I said, Ice Spear and Creeping Frost is plug and play. Here you can remove one and put in another. It’s more of a matter of preference. Then it has a slot for the Intellect gem plus two AOE and two Aura gems, just like stacking Aura stack set aside to give us the magical helm.

For the chest armor, we ran Shavronne’s Wrappings, plus AOE and two projectile gems so we could get the most boost on Creeping Frost.
POE Berek's Grip

For the rings, we’re running Berek’s Grip. This ring is perfect. It’s the best ring you can run on a crit building in most situations. Therefore, if we are willing to POE Currency buy, then rapidly improving its overall statistics will no longer be a fantasy.

How To Increase Critical Hit Damage?

Also, we are using a Level 1 Energy Shield plus AOE and some Chaos Resistance to combat Cold Enemy Break mod to help us solve Chaos Resistance issue. This also adds to the critical chance and elemental damage we made on the suffix.

Since our Ashes of the Stars have completed Double Corruption, this allows us to swap the 10% AA effect and give your character 8% more damage per AA. So Zealotry’s 20% extra damage or effect is obviously  insane.

We then ran a Diamond Flask with additional Quicksilver Flask to increase armor, Silver Flask to reduce mana cost, and Ruby Flask to increase movement speed. We need to get as high a movement speed as possible because the only thing holding back the speed of clearing is how fast you can run, which is important.

We also have Dying Sun, which gives us two extra projectiles, which adds 60 million DPS.

Damage Calculation

For the damage itself on this build, each projectile does 36 million damage. Since we always cast nine projectiles, we’re always dealing with 324 million DPS. Then there are Dying Sun’s two extra projectiles, so we hit 392 million DPS. This doesn’t even include Sniper’s Mark and the increased number of projectiles.

Extra Tips

This is the complete setup for the build. The calculations for this build were insane, and I spent a lot of time on this build. It took two iterations to go from complete erasure to complete the update.

POE Dying Sun

I think the only thing really left to do in this build is to do something like Hinekora’s Lock Double Corruption. Then, if I swap my first layer of enhanced energy shields along with the flat energy shields on the boots, we also get about 2% of Melding of the Flesh retention. Finally, we can also add some additional tattoos for global defense.

We can still make very minor tweaks and upgrades to the build, but this is as minimal as possible. Hopefully, these tips help you fine-tune your build and win in the game!
