Donald Trump just posted a staggering $92 million bond in the defamation case filed by E. Jean Carroll. Miss Carrol had accused Donald Trump of sexual abuse to which he had responded by making remarks like she wasn’t his type and accusing her of trying to boost sales of her book by making such false allegations.
On Jan 26, 2024, a Jury Awarded Miss Carroll $83.3 million in damages to which Donald Trump’s lawyers argued that the amount was too much and asked for a reduction. Miss Carroll’s lawyers on the other hand argued that the amount should even be increased to make the punishment effective and to stop Donald Trump from such behavior.
While all this is unfolding, Donald Trump has to pay another $454 million in bond in his Attorney General Fraud Case in New York, The deadline for which is March 25th. These are just two of the four criminal cases that President Trump is fighting in addition to his bid for President.
But that is not to say things are not looking up for Donald Trump, as Nikki Haley also exits the Presidential race and he seems to be the clear-cut Republican party Nominee for President in the 2024 elections, while also enjoying a lead against his probable competitor, President Joe Biden.
