Six reasons why you should try CBD gummies for your better health.

 CBD: What is it?

Cannabis is a well-known natural treatment for many different ailments. This chemical compound, also known as CBD, is one of the more than 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, Cannabis sativa. The CBD inNirvana CBD Gummies interacts with neuroreceptors in your endocannabinoid system, which communicates between your cells to influence movement, mood, homeostasis, and immunity. CBD, or cannabidiol, is a lesser-known product of the cannabis plant; its more famous sibling, tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the active component that makes users “high.” Originating in Central Asia, the oil plant is thought to have been used for healing around 750 B.C., though there are other estimates as well.

 How does CBD work?

The fact that it is relatively safe makes it promising in a lot of different therapeutic avenues. Oil derived from the Cannabis sativa plant is usually mixed with inert carrier oils such as hemp seed oil for consumption to produce CBD. Broad spectrum CBD oil has gained a great deal of popularity in recent years thanks to its purported calming properties. You can now find CBD in a wide variety of products, from simple oil tinctures to potato chips infused with CBD.

There is an increase in CBD research as well. The plant extract has potential for treating other conditions, but Epidiolex remains the only CBD-derived drug that is approved by the F.D.A. Most cannabidiol research is conducted on animals, and its popularity has outpaced science.

What are its benefits?

May relieve pain

Scientists recently discovered that certain components of cannabis, including CBD, relieve pain. Several bodily functions, including sleep, appetite, pain sensation, and immunity, are regulated by a system called the endocannabinoid system. You produce endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system. The effects of CBD on endocannabinoids, inflammation, and neurotransmitters may help teduce chronic pain. According to some research, CBD can be effective in treating certain types of pain, such as nerve pain and back pain, when used alone. CBD, however, appears to be most useful when combined with THC. Several human studies have found that CBD and THC together are effective in treating the pain associated with MS and arthritis.

Manage certain epilepsy syndromes

CBD has been used in some cases to treat epileptic seizures.

CBD was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2018 for treating seizures resulting from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome, two rare forms of epilepsy, in patients at least 2 years of age. Support for the FDA’s decision comes from three studies that were carefully vetted. A total of 516 patients with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome received Epidiolex in these trials. As part of a combination treatment with other medications, Epidiolex decreased seizures that were experienced by participants.

Symptoms of PTSD can be reduced

As part of a small study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2018, 11 people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) received CBD along with routine psychiatric care for eight weeks in an outpatient mental health clinic. PTSD symptoms decreased in 10 out of 11 individuals. CBD was generally well tolerated, the authors note.

There have been four other human studies between 2012 and 2016, all of which show CBD reduced PTSD symptoms, although some included THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the active ingredient in cannabis. The effect of THC and CBD working together is called an “entourage effect,” which allows each molecule’s benefits and potency to complement each other. The same dose of THC and CBD together will temper the effects of THC, while just a little THC with more CBD will enhance the effects of CBD.

Reduced diabetic complications

In experiments on human cells, it has been found that CBD reduces the effects of high glucose on other cells in the body, which typically triggers the development of diabetes and various complications. CBD may have significant benefits when used in patients with diabetes, diabetic complications and plaque buildup in artery walls, according to researchers.

Researchers studied 13 patients with type 2 diabetes who did not take insulin and were given CBD. CBD was found to lower their levels of resistin (which prevents the insulin protein from working properly) and to increase their levels of glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (which ensures the release of insulin from digested food). Results of the study suggest that CBD may help regulate insulin-related hormone levels in the body, therefore helping treat diabetes.

Reduces certain cancer-related symptoms

Some cancer symptoms and side effects associated with cancer treatment, such as nausea, vomiting, and pain, maybe reduced by CBD. CBD and THC have been studied for their effects on cancer-related pain in an older study of 177 people who had not experienced relief from it. Patients having took extracts that contained both compounds experienced significant pain relief in comparison with those who took THC extract alone.

Sativex has been shown to reduce cancer-related pain in some patients according to a review of five studies.

There are varying results from studies examining cannabis and cannabinoids like CBD’s effects on cancer-related nausea, pain, and decreased appetite.

Despite CBD’s potential benefits for some cancer patients, more research is needed to determine whether CBD should be used more frequently to manage cancer symptoms.

Consult your healthcare provider if you are considering CBD or other cannabis-derived products. It is possible that these products are not safe, appropriate, or effective for everyone with cancer.

May Benefit Heart Health.

CBD is linked to several health benefits for the heart and circulatory system, such as lower blood pressure, reduced stroke, heart attack, and metabolic syndrome risks. There is some evidence that CBD may benefit people with high blood pressure. An experiment with 9 healthy men investigated the effects of 600 mg of CBD oil. CBD significantly reduced resting blood pressure. CBD also improved arterial blood flow and reduced arterial stiffness, according to the researchers.

Protect Against Neurological Disease

CBD has been demonstrated to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in preclinical and clinical studies. They may provide significant neuroprotection or protection against a variety of pathological conditions.

Researchers believe CBD may provide benefits against Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and multiple sclerosis in preclinical studies. The study also tested for Huntington’s disease and cerebral ischemia, but no significant positive results were found. It will take further clinical studies to confirm CBD’s benefits when used to treat these disorders.
