Police have arrested the activist Sheldon Johnson after dismembered body parts including a torso were found in his freezer. Sheldon Johnson is accused of shooting dead the victim, chopping the body, and storing the body parts in his freezers.

The victim has been officially identified as Collin Small who was 44 years old at the time of his death. His relationship with Mr. Sheldon remains unknown. For now, the police have jailed Sheldon Johnson without a bond and he faces charges of Murder in the second degree and possession of a weapon among others. 

The body parts were found when police performed a welfare check on the victim and found the torso and other body parts scattered in the house with the head being in the freezer. Mr. Sheldon was known to visit the apartment where the murder happened and neighbors say they heard begging and loud gunshots before the incident.

Mr. Sheldon 48 years old was released from prison last year and has since been advocating prison reform. He was a guest on Joe Rogan’s podcast along with Josh Dubin who is a civil rights attorney. During the podcast, he discussed his experience both in prison and while growing up in Harlem, New York. He was an ex-high-ranking member of the criminal gang Bloods and had spent time in prison for selling narcotics and for assault. (Alund, 2024)
